League Format
- The 2025/26 league consists of 13 teams. One team will have a bye; the other 12 teams play each Tuesday at 5pm.
- The first round runs October 7 – December 16 or 23rd (to be confirmed)
- The second round runs January 6 – March 10. All games will be a maximum of 8 ends.
- Playoffs are expected to run 4 weeks, running from March 17 to April 7.
- No curling on December 30th; December 23rd TBD
- Teams will accumulate points from wins (3) and ties (1). Ties are not broken. The winning vice is responsible for entering the game result on the website after the game.
- A team must have at least three players to play an official game, of which two players must be registered on that team.
How to find a spare
There are three spare lists, listed in order of preference:
- The bye team should be your first choice for finding spares.
- A club member spare list on the KW Granite website, the longest list of spares
- A non club member spare list on the league’s Info page, a shorter list of spares

Login into the KW Granite website:- under Member’s Home, go to “Find a Spare”
- select the Tuesday Social League
- select some or all of the spares that match your position and send an email via the website
- How to find the non-club member spare list:
Login into the KW Granite website:- under Member’s Home, go to “Info, Teams, Schedules, Standings”
- select “info” next to the Tuesday Social League
- scroll down for the spare list and email the spare directly
Non-Member Spare List
This is a separate list from the online list because spares that are not club members are not able to sign up on the online spare list. Non-members spares know they are required pay $25 fee at the bar each night they spare.
How to enter the game result
The winning vice is required to enter the game result by Wednesday.
Typically this can be done using the club tablet at the bulletin board behind table 3.
However, you can also use your own device if you already left the club:
Login into the KW Granite website:
- under Member’s Home, go to "My Next Games”
- scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the "Result Entry" button
- the next page displays a list of your games up to the current date that do not have the score recorded
- Select the Tuesday Night Social game and enter the score
- If no game appears, then the result has already been recorded by someone else
Five-Rock Rule
No opponent's rock resting in the free-guard zone may be removed from play until after the fifth rock has been thrown.
Defaults
- A default will result in a win for the non-defaulting team. Please let your opponent know via email if you are unable to field a team, so they do not arrive at the club without an opportunity to play a game.
- A team may choose to play with more than 2 non-registered members. This is a default situation and they will score loss points.
Substitution
Spares must play at or lower than the position of the curler they are replacing. If you are unavailable on any of the game dates, be sure to secure a spare and let you team know. Use the Find a Spare feature on the website for your substitutions. You may also use other club members or non-club members as a spare as per the Granite Club Spare Policy.
Late Start/End of Game
Do not begin a new end if there is less than 15 minutes remaining when the last rock of the previous end is thrown (eg: you can start a new end if the clock shows 6:44, but not 6:45).
