MONDAY NIGHT OPEN EVENT
This league is available to any combination of 4 members. Teams do not have to follow any set configuration. The convener of the event will seed returning and new teams into divisions at the start of the year. Returning teams will be seeded using the previous year’s point totals and new teams will be seeded at the convener’s discretion. To be considered a returning team, a team needs to have, from the previous year, the skip and one other player, or the 3 other players minus the skip. Any other combination will be considered a “new” team to this league.
League Format:
- Teams divided into divisions. There will be three 7-night rounds, a total of 21 nights. Draw times will rotate between 5, 7 and 9 pm time slots where possible.
- Each round will be a full round robin where teams accumulate points from wins, losses or ties (See point system below). At the end of each round, all teams will be reorganized and seeded based on their accumulated point totals. Each team will carry forward half of its accumulated points into the next round.
- With every team getting one bye in each round, there are no points given for a bye.
- Defaulting teams will receive zero points.
If teams are tied in total points at the end of a round, the following system will be used to break ties:
Point System:
- Win/Loss record against each other
- If teams from different divisions are tied, the higher division team will be considered to be ahead.
- Shootout points

- For all draws, do not begin a new end as of 1 hour and 45 minutes from the scheduled game time, please refer to Return to Play Plan 2.1 for details
Substitution:
- Any team must have at least three players to field a team. Two players on a team must be original team members. In this “open” league, any eligible club member may be used as a spare. The spare must play in the position of the player being replaced or lower, not higher.
Ice Maintenance – Sweeping (Mopping) the Ice:
-
- The ice crew/scheduled volunteers are solely responsible for sweeping and/or prepping the ice surface for play. If you are not a scheduled volunteer or the ice technician, please refrain from touching any ice equipment whatsoever, to ensure the ice team is protected and knows the equipment is still disinfected and ready for their use.

Proper head protection is mandatory for all little rock curlers. The club does have approved head protection for sale if you do not have a proper helmet or other.
As for other equipment, the curlers will require a clean pair of shoes that have not been worn outside and we recommend purchasing a slip on slider for one of the shoes which can be purchased at the pro shop or from online curling suppliers. There are club sliders that can be borrowed - but these are first come first serve.
There are club brooms that curlers can be used and there are enough for everyone if you don't have a broom.
